Bidder Notification of Tinsley Island Maintenance Dredging Project

Notice is hereby given that Reclamation District 2108 (RD2108) is proposing to conduct the Tinsley Island Maintenance Dredging Project (hereinafter referred to as “Project”) in the San Joaquin River. Dredging is needed to maintain mudline elevations between -7.0 and -12.0 feet mean lower low water plus overdepth in select areas leading to and within the island’s navigable lagoon. The Project will include mechanical maintenance dredging of up to 38,900 cubic yards of sediment as a base bid, and up to 25,200 cubic yards of sediment as optional additive bids items. Sediment placement will be at either Montezuma Wetland Restoration Project or Roberts Island (managed by the Port of Stockton). Dredging work must be performed between October 1, 2024 and November 30, 2024.

To be eligible to perform this work, bidders must hold a California Class A Contractors license, be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, and have no existing financial interest in Reclamation District 2108, the St. Francis Yacht Club or Tinsley Island. Pursuant to Sections 1770, 1771 and 1774 of the California Labor Code, the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations.

Add bidders are required to perform a site visit prior to bidding, including both the dredge site and Roberts Island placement site. The bid documents are anticipated to be issued on October 10, 2023 with award anticipated on November 30, 2023. All bid documents will be issued electronically to registered bidders only.
